Two thoughts:
1. Supposedly that's why the 49ers went with Alex Smith over highest-QB-Rating-in-NFL-history Aaron Rodgers. Supposedly Rodgers had a "little too much personality" much like Rosen. Great for the Packers, not great for the 49ers.
2. I genuinely say this with respect, but sometimes Stanford can be a little bit too "We're-the-greatest" for their own good. Not all the time, not most of the time, not much of the time. Just on occasion. Or to put it differently, when my sons were being recruited by Harvard, Princeton, UCSD, and Stanford, the Stanford coaches were the only ones who were over the top about how terrific Stanford was relative to all other schools -- which I agree with and had already bought into, since I was a tyke. Just seemed a wee bit superfluous. I just wonder why we can get Luck, but we can't get Rosen. That's all.
