My guess is they wanted that guy on the field. Can only do that with a timeout

During the 2nd down play, a player lost his helmet and the clock was stopped.  UCLA called a timeout and the automatic 10-second runoff was negated.  Not sure why they were in such a hurry to call a timeout.
