Also, lots of fouls on drives throughout the game. Typical end-of-the-season officiating: let a lot go in the post and on rebounding situations, but call tightly contact against cutters and drivers. Also worked for Stanford at points, when they called a lot of off-the-ball holds against the Huskies.
The interesting part was that at one point, Washington had been called for one foul in the second half and Stanford had been called for 6 or 7. And the level of physicality between the two teams was at least roughly equivalent.
Of course, not as interesting as the second game, where I saw our favorite MB on the court. And got the sinking feeling she's going to ref the early game tomorrow and the championship on Saturday. Sigh.
