I don't think there will be a return to the days of hard copy media guides. When Michigan and Ohio State decided to go to a web-based media guide a few years ago, I think that was the turning point. Stanford held out for another couple years before dropping the hard copy. The hard copy was expensive and bulky. It was primarily a recruiting document, but this generation of recruits is more accustomed to using their computers for things like this. A web-based media guide can make better use of color, which is expensive in hard copy. Eventually, I think we will start seeing embedded video in the web-based media guides. But I do miss the old hard copy media guides.
