The problem is that the digital versions aren't quite good enough yet. Terry's right, though. I'm sure the time is coming when they'll be phenomenal. Imagine an app on your iPad with the Stanford media guide, complete with video highlights not just of last year's games but of Plunkett and Elway and Nelson and Gerhart. Maybe next year.
There are still a few hard copies out there. USC sent me a copy of theirs, and it's thick and glossy -- expensive. Arizona also sent me one, but it looks like it was copied at Kinko's -- black and white, bound with the same plastic thing used for your PoliSci readers back in the day. Not surprisingly, Notre Dame also still publishes one, but it hasn't arrived yet. (Of course, it may never arrive. I forgot to check my cutting and pasting in the email request, and I inadvertently asked the Notre Dame SID for a USC media guide. He still promised to send me one, but who knows...)
