Stanford ends up in 5th. No podium today, sadly but some great runs.

Is that considered a good result for our team?  Better/worse than expected?

I'd say that 5th is considered a good result for the men, especially considering how young the team is. The team was ranked 7th coming in, so we exceeded the ranking/expectation which is good. I think that there was an outside chance of a podium -- but I'm not disappointed in finishing 5th -- especially when you have another strong runner who didn't even run today due to injury.
