Take the easier road now and it hurts you later.
The downside of this boot camp experience is the possibility of injuries.
I just looked at the full game +/-. I don't think anyone here would be surprised at the negative leaders: Wilson, Jerome, Jones.
The by-far leader on the positive side of the +/- might surprise some, even most, people. (Hint: Brink tied for 3rd with 2 others on the team at +4.)
Indeed one person here characterized her as having an uncharacteristic off-day. Perhaps it is too easy to look at offensive stats, and not how the team does relative to the other team.
Brink got the headlines. Lexie got the win.
I like the upside and tough games. It does hurt to see our talented frosh get so little or zero playing time. Hard to develop fully when they don't get to play. I would have preferred a schedule that had a couple more not cupcakes but teams where the frosh and the bench in general could get more time. Right now we are deeper on paper than in reality and that may not change much if the frosh and players like Emma-Nnopu, Hamilton, and Van Gytenbeek don't get out there.
