Rueck was very respectful and he actually gives good insight.  Tara does not always interview well--she is so guarded about what she will reveal.  Rueck discussed the Stanford defense in an interesting way.  He says we played 1 on 1 close defense and thus snuffed out most assists, but this was vulnerable to OSU players breaking to the rim, and they did some but not enough.  But we did not do a lot of help defense, sagging, etc. but dared them to score 1 on 1.  I've not heard the Stanford defense described in that way before.

That must have been an adjustment for OSU. We know there's always a detailed scout and defensive game plan, but as fans it's not always easy for us to perceive what the plan is as it's carried out. Some techniques are obvious, like sagging way off a non-shooter or switching to a zone, others not.
