I was also a fan of JJ. Being dismissed from the team was such a severe action, I can only surmise that, as your contact told you, there were other serious problems.

That was my surmise, as well. But I also do not recall reading about any other suspensions or violations of team rules by Hones.
And let's be honest in acknowledging that coaches are humans and have players whom they give more leash to and others where they crack the whip. That could have been in play, too (and real-time, that was also my surmise).
That's all water under bridge now. Just don't want to forget that Hones was a real contributor to Stanford women's hoops, including in that FF run led by Wiggins.
