Agree with this, while Draco Malfoy clearly started rushing some passes, he literally did not have any time to throw because our front got so much pressure on him. When he did try to scramble, he got crushed as well (my favorite being his fumble when David Parry got his legs low and he turned right into Trent Murphy crushing him high, with the ball flying out of there from the impact). Nobody looks great while getting driven into the turf (see Luck vs Chicago-- talk about a team needing to invest in an o-line quick, that's the Colts). We took every advantage of their o-line, and we had the horses up front to do it.Â
Speaking of 5-star talent, the thing I love most is that Peat, Murphy, and Garnett all chose us over SC, and it seems they won't be regretting that decision any time soon. And on top of that they are all becoming good friends off the field as well. I think this will be the cornerstone of our program for the upcoming years once they get some experience, and if you are a 5-star QB, TE, or OL, why wouldn't you want to play here at Stanford behind a line like this? (Keller Chryst anybody?)
