Rumor has it the $C punter missed the plane and they got some frat boy out of the stands with a minute left to go.
The new offense seems to be a reflection of trying to get the most out of the cards we've been dealt. Unfortunately the D is also.
I hope Smith heals up quickly, and that McKee stays healthy.
Let's face it. Stanford was blown off the field, as I predicted. USC was much faster, better prepared, and more unpredictable than SU. Smith is not that fast and he needs better hands to hold onto the ball. Our team speed is not even close to being in the same league as theirs. We may win 4 or 5 games this year, but that's about it. What's all the fuss about Kelly? He was left in the dust by the USC receiver. That INT in the endzone is attributable to genius Shaw. If we know that he's going to throw to the tight end, then USC knows it and their D will act accordingly and did. McKee is not in the same class as the USC qb on running. In short, SU is in for another mediocre year. I know, Shaw, they didn't "execute."
The defense was as bad as I feared it would be, and the offense wasn't nearly as good as I had at least hoped it would be.
I agree we are looking at maybe 4-5 wins this year.
