The NCAA mandated that the first day of the season was Monday - so in the interest of spacing out the schedule where possible, Stanford wanted to get started as early as possible - especially given that South Carolina comes to town.I see. That's too bad. Our first home matinee will be South Carolina, meaning a lot of poor attendance before then. Well I will be there on Monday, along with at least 30% of the season ticket holders and another hundred or two hundred people.
South Carolina will be respectably attended, but there was a time we would have sold it out. Let's see how close we come this year.
I think there’s a decent chance South Carolina will be a sellout. Wilder posted last week how when he took over the Stanford WBB social media, we had 17K followers in 2019 and now have over 50k. Pretty impressive growth. Where is that same outreach for the marketing people or those responsible for growing the fans in the stands? That is just as important. Seems to be missing.
