The players that made those rankings good are no longer on the team. Every single 4*+ player from the bolded classes is no longer on the roster.
Put another way, every single upperclass player on the current team was a 3* recruit. Is that "the talent?"
Why are you limiting it to only upperclass players? Plenty of teams around the country have true freshmen not only playing but starting and being impact players - and have for years.
Maybe it's because the current freshman class doesn't support the basis of your argument.
And it also does nothing to explain the previous season when 4* and 5* talent was on the roster and the results were the same big ball of mediocrity we got from Dawkins.
That game was just Jerod Haase 6.0 - a version that never should have happened but we are now stuck with.
