Didn't know Rector was hurt. He might have helped....or not.
Legs that work, eyes that focus, hands that hold onto things, a sense of where/how to go. The four basics
Montgomery has the legs and eyes bit, it's the hands thing that has us worried
Terrell has the legs, eyes and (particularly) hands but there is a QB eye problem (not looking for him)
Ertz has all four in spades.
Whitfield hasn't had enough reps to let us know how good he is.
Patterson: depends on which JRP shows up. Sometimes its hands, sometime its knowing where to go, always flashing promise.
conclude that given how no other WRs have made their mark, they are undeveloped / deficient in one or another...so, yeah, it's a good bet that Rector could have helped.
On the others: Several observers are seeing that Kyle Murphy is getting more and more playing time compared to Peat, who everyone thought was the sure-fire (near) starter as a freshman. Speculation is that Murphy is less physically developed but has a real brain for the game and is ahead on technique and catching on to the college game.
