The steal and the 2 points (obviously) were both at crucial end-of-game moments.
Agree. I was wrong.
I think a bunch of us were! I didn’t want her in the game either.

Demetre (0/3) may be good in practice but she's apparently not comfortable in a game.
Prechtel (0/3) seems to need to be unguarded.
Brink (1/4), in this kind of game, should be close to the basket and only shoot 3s if absolutely necessary.
Lepolo (1/4) also should shoot them only if absolutely necessary.
Cal couldn't stop Brink if she got the ball in close, but we couldn't get her the ball as often as we should.
Jones may make miracle shots, but she only had 3FG in the game.
Kudos on our 16/19 FT shooting: Jones 6/6. Brink 6/7. Demetre 2/2 at a critical juncture.
And yet, if Brink doesn’t hit that 3 we probably lose. If Lepolo doesn’t hit that 3 we probably lose. So, ultimately, not bad shots.
It’s weird how much we seem to be struggling with outside shots lately. I’m looking at our overall stats and they aren’t great, probably worse after this game. Earlier in the season we had several people shooting over 40%. Schedule getting tougher I guess…?
