Can they go back and adjust the stats?

I don't think so.  Otherwise we wouldn't see stats that sometimes have 4 or 6 players in the game.
About 5 years ago, I heard from a staff member ("video coordinator" or something like that) that said Stanford tried to correct things (wrong shooter, etc.) but that didn't happen.  At that time, Stanford was getting their own stats.
