The way things are going, I might be able to make the team.
I've got a deadly fall away jumper...but that was a long time ago. : )
I think we'd make a killer backcourt and a good NIL deal might be better than my annual salary with bonuses. I mean I'm in my seventh decade now and have lost track of pieces of flesh and other body parts that get pulled whenever I say "sure" when some young people ask if I want to join them at the gym, but in the early '80s they called me the Jamaal Wilkes of the 5'-11" and under league. I could actually dunk at 5'-10" when I wasn't lugging these extra 70 pounds around. Almost without traveling!
Back on point, I don't fault Muir for when he announced Haase's departure. Times have changed. Montgomery got Lichti, Wright, and other talent when he came on board, but these days plan on total do-overs. Also, it's never just the coaching. For whatever reason the players looking to portal on out of here contributed to sub .500 basketball. We can lose more than we win without them, too.
Also, Moraga ain't a bad place to live. A coach would be an idiot to move from there to Palo Alto. Maybe we're looking for an idiot?
Free / subsidized housing in Palo Alto isn't a bad deal. The biggest draws would be salary, benefits to coaches kids getting in potentially, and higher level competition.
