We have lived on our rebounding edge this year, but that has disappeared lately as last years team rebounding woes have come back in spades. We may be worried about NC St breaking on us and cede the offensive rebounding side of things like we did vs. USC in the PAC tournament final as well.Likewise.
Our "Guards" law firm of Lepolo, Bosgana, Ogden & Harriel (Clardy as alternate), are gonna need a better game than ISU, vs NC St if we are to win. Yes Lepolo had 7 assists, but some of these were not anything inspired, just dumping an easy post entry pass into one of our bigs who then worked magic. Not much points or rebounds out of them, and lots of blown defense, like getting brushed off on a screen and then lost as to where to go or who to guard next. I have not much to add about the veterans of Cam, Kiki, and Hannah as they always seem to find major ways to contribute even if one of their off nights. Agara too seems to me to be stepping up to be like that. Often making a contribution as soon as into the game. Brooke a puzzle as she can be clutch, or not, even within the same game.
But assuming our veterans are good to great as usual, our Guards law firm performance is gonna be the deciding factor vs NC State IMO.
