It's wild that someone (Carlyle) who averaged 11.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, and 2.7 apg might be making north of a million dollars to play college ball if things break right (e.g., he's actually good). It's not like he was a super freshman (Durant, Mello, Iverson, Ewing, Magic, Jordan, Shaq, Never Nervous, Rando Guy from Kentucky or Duke, Fab Five, etc.) or Kobe. Even GT put out a cavalcade of stud freshman year after year in the '80s and '90s and Carlyle (from Atlanta) never reminded anyone of those guys. I might have missed it, but I didn't see any Tech posters saying he should come home out of the portal.  That is minimum NBA salary territory and does anyone see him playing in the League?  Was Haase's program that bad? Maybe.

Those are about the same numbers as Cody Williams from Colorado, who is an NBA lottery pick in many of the mock drafts. The stats don't matter as much as the combination of age and talent these days. Zach Levine taught everyone that ?. I do agree with you though. Seems like Carlyle has a ways to go.
