Stanford loses to Clemson 1:0 in the next round. Frankly, it wasn’t that close and Stanford should have lost by several more. I had been hopeful they could get on track, but this wasn’t fit and finish problems. This was comprehensively outplayed, and a big difference vs. their 3-2 win at Clemson earlier in the year. The 13-7 shot advantage for Clemson undersells how bad it was. Stanford barely threatened in the game, and was unable to maintain any consistent possession.
