I'm not sure, but every time we put that TE in his side stepping motion we didn't use him to block. I guess he was supposed to be a decoy. I would have liked to see us run off tackle behind him.
if that was a wing t, than troy taylor is innovating! i suppose you could say david shaw was innovative by introducing the slow mesh, but tt is adding an up-to-date pro offense, which the slow mesh surely was not.
for those of you who don't get the times, the article says the value of the offense is surprise: it's harder for the defense to guess where the ball is going on run plays. this might help the problem we have had running into the teeth of the defense when they are expecting run.
