I'd hate to have to figure out which officiating crew has been the worst!

I heard a rumor that when the Pac 12 imploded the Pac 12 refs were reassigned to other conferences, and the SEC and Big 10 got first and second pick.  The ACC gets one former Pac 12 ref every other game, or 1/6 of its crew.  It got the Pac 12 refs that no one else wanted.  So if you see a familiar face, look out!

Didn't one of those refs look familiar?

Another question, to anyone who has been to a Virginia Tech game.  The announcers said it was "loud" and the box score says nearly 5000 fans attended.  But the TV shots showed 1/2 to 2/3 of the seats were empty.  Is the arena simply a big cavernous place where fans spread out?
