McDonald is also 5'6" and peaked right before she went pro. I was skeptical about how much success she could achieve given her size, which is obviously not an issue for Jones. It's largely the same reason I'm not surprised Kiana Williams didn't last either - if you're 5'7" or smaller you need to be a lights out shooter, otherworldly distributor, or absolute dog in defense. Williams and McDonald are none of the above.

i suppose you are generally right, but how does jordin canada get by at 5'6 with a career 3 pt % of 29%? and crystal dangerfield at 5'5" and a career 3-pt % of 32%? ivory latta was 5'6 as well.

maybe there are some coaching decisions involved as well as both mcdonald and dangerfield had outstanding rookie seasons, then had trouble thereafter. i don't think candice was used well as a pro; nor was nicole powell.
