We didn't look great and I'm upset we didn't pull it out, but this is pretty close to what I expected. Gulbranson was not good but not as horrible as some are saying, in my opinion. Way better than Brown looked in limited time last year (low bar unfortunately).

Hawaii may just have an awful D-line, but pass and run protection looked improved, which would be brobdingnagian. We'll find out in 2 weeks if we are actually OK on the line.

I thought offensive play calling was pretty good and seemed to match our capabilities. The pass over the middle to Holt on 3rd down when the defense was selling out against the run was great.

I am neither discouraged nor encouraged relative to expectations before the game. But man, it would have been nice to have a win under our belts to build some momentum (even if undeserved). Brutal.
