I feel like this thread is overly pessimistic.
Sure the QB play today was bad. Either it was nerves and Gulbranson will bounce back or someone else will step up. Brown, Jackson or Rizk. There is no way the QB battle that not one of those three can't step in to play.
Better QB play and we win. Emmett Kennedy FG doesn't get blocked and we likely win.
The O-Line and RB play was great today. The roadmap to winning is clear and we're going to see a return to Stanford style football this year.
My biggest concern was the defense. Lots of big plays given up to a one legged QB. The competition likely only get stiffer there.
BC, UVA, SJSU, Pitt, CAL and UNC are all winable games imo.
Sure it'll be nice when the talent level improves but you can see the roadmap and trajectory of where this program is going. Let's just enjoy the moment and these kids who have decided to stick around at Stanford after all the turmoil the last 4 years.
