Lot of kids played their guts out.  91 and the QB…..QB mistakes were physical.  91 can wear this one.  It’s on hm.

Not defending it, it sucked. Think ref overreacted too, but it's NCAA so 91 was dumb there. But it would have still been 2nd down without the penalty. We have no idea what would have happened after that. 

So let's not lose focus on blaming our absolutely terrible QB play, Reich sticking with him, and the horrible play-calling on our last possession!

iirc stanford lost little to no yardage on the play. the sack yardage about equaled the penalty yardage. 
hawaii then scored on a long pass. their receiver easily beat our db deep. that play would have scored from 15 yards farther out.
iirc stanford had three 15-yard penalties on that defensive series.
to my eyes, it was a bogus call - patterson was not taunting hawaii players or the crowd, turning flips, signing a football on the 50-yard line, etc. it was a modest dance. hawaii certainly celebrated their touchdowns. most of all, it was FUNNY not mocking - ie not demeaning or aggressive!

I agree completely. I've always felt that celebrations, especially dancing, should not be punished. Just let it go and quit over-officiating. And, in the case of a sack where there isn't a turnover, the play clock keeps running. If it goes on too long the celebrating team is only hurting themselves.
