.... I thought I was watching Uruguay at times as somebody writhed on the ground near death....

I have never seen a player more quickly and miraculously brought back from the dead, than if the referee does not call a foul, and the ball starts moving well with the opponent players. That on-the-brink-of-death player will often have a sudden cure and spring back up into the game.
