Men beat BC last night 3:0 in a game where BC wasn’t competitive and mostly didn’t try to be. Seriously, BC was in full time wasting mode from minute 1.
Ref did a good job today - it wasn’t that rough, but it had weird moments he got right and he actually did things to deal with the time wasting.
My one complaint with the men is they lack patience on offense much of the time and can end up banging in mediocre cross after mediocre cross over and over instead of trying something more interesting once in awhile. Note the goals yesterday.
Goal 1 did come on a cross but where Palmer got all the way forward and was unmarked - good aggression and a change up coming forward that far from LB.
Goal 2, Islam did something different and went around his guy on the edge instead of simply crossing right away. Made for an easy tap in for Chow.
Goal 3 - Islam again with a change up rocket from 30-35 yards out.
You can see though why Islam has been such an impact player this year. He processes the game a bit differently from the typical college player.
