Offense is a struggle though often this season. Ogden was good but a little inefficient. Somfai had a solid offensive day as well, and Swain got a few layups to drop late. But PG wasn’t great in this one - Clardy and Lepolo combined for 5-19 though Clardy was much the better of the 2 today and got many more minutes. Agara struggled on offense. Beyond Clardy, the bench scored 2 points.

I'm not disappointed with the offensive output given that Oregon has a top 25 defense as of now (#22 per Herhoopstats).  While we ran up a lot of points on them the last season we played them, Oregon's defense seems much improved this year.

I also really like that team defensive rebound rate of 77.1%. In the 2022/23 season, with both Brink and Iriafen at their college rebounding peaks, Stanford's team defensive rebound rate was only 74.2%. Yesterday the team had a defensive rebounding rate of 87.5% against Oregon. The highest defensive rebound rate against any Pac 12 opponent in that 2022/23 season was 70.0% (vs Arizona).

I should add that despite facing some P4 competition lately, Somfai has kept her defensive rebounding percentage up.  Good not just for a frosh but among the best at Stanford since the 2009-10 season:
