I believe that this is the case, that we were so reliant on our TEs because they were talented and our receivers were somewhere between serviceable and bad. If that situation reverses itself this year then we'll be fine, we'll just do more passing to receivers and only use TEs situationally. Alternatively, if we can get good production out of one or two guys in each position, then a big drop, we'll still be okay. We just need SOMEONE to be good at getting separation and catching the ball.
The scary thing is that we have no proven talent there, where in the past we had our TEs. Add in no Stepfan and our offense needs to be almost entirely rebuilt. But a great OL and good QB do wonders toward restoring confidence, I think we'll be okay.
