I went to the C.al-Oregon game at Levi's Stadium earlier this year. I rode the VTA light rail from Campbell to Levi's Stadium (the Winchester line). On game days, I think you can ride a train on any line straight to Levi's Stadium without a transfer. See the map here -- http://www.vta.org/levis-stadium-light-r...-bowl-1230
Based on my experience at the C.al-Oregon game, the upside of the light rail was that it ran straight to the stadium, it was easy, and it cost just $2 each way. The downside was that the train was jammed, there was a really long wait to get on a train after the game (about 35 minutes), and the train took a long time (over an hour between Campbell and the stadium).
