I don't know that I buy every one of your claims.  They were 5-11 last year after losing 17 starters, 9 on defense.  the Niners were last in the league in offense by a LONG way, 238 points, next fewest was 275.  they were 18th of 32 teams on defense, after filling 9 holes.  I'm thinking this could be a good year for the 49ers, although I think 2017 will be a better one.

The thing you're missing is that NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY FOR THE 49ERS.  They got a coach that nobody else even wanted to talk to, and they'll have to outbid everyone for second- and third-tier free agents.  The Pro Bowlers aren't coming anywhere near this stinkhole.  Draft picks are nice, but do you honestly trust this clown Baalke to use them intelligently, and if so what is the historical basis for that?

I think it's a small number, something like 13, if that.  Kaepernick, Staley, Miller, Bowman, Brooks...There are others, too lazy to look them up now.
