I'm gonna be in either Oxford, MS or Memphis, TN on the night of the championship. Gonna need to find a sports bar in the deep south that wants to put on a WVB game...

Now I'm recalling our last National Championship team in 2004. We started out the season playing hot and cold and struggling at times. We lost 6 matches in the first 2/3 of the season and it didn't look that hopeful. Then we had a big 5 set win against UCLA. But the 5 set win coming from 2 sets down against then #1 and undefeated UW seemed to turn the season around and we never lost again that year. We won the 5th set 20-18 - it was such a brobdingnagian high!

Great win but Stanford didnÊ»t play great especially Merete Lutz. Lutz is usually dependable on her hitting and blocking but today she struggled. She committed a lot of hitting errors and was step slower. Luckily Vanjak and Fitzmorris played much better today.Â
The team appeared tired. Must be the effect of finals week and not being home for two weeks. Long rallies didnÊ»t help as well.Â
Celebrate the win and get ready for the championship match. The team needs a lot rest and be ready to play hard, aggressive and smart on Saturday.Â

Very similar and I am hoping for the same outcome. Stanford was seeded low that year and faced Florida, Wisconsin, Washington and Minnesota. If Iʻm not mistaken, I believe Stanford was on the road for the entire tournament.

Texas is up 2-0 on Nebraska. I think it would be a fairly big upset, and would increase our chances of a capturing a Natty for Inky.

Actually Nebraska is the defending national champ.
Last two times they played Texas they swept them in 3, one of which was early this year and one was last year's championship game.
Quite a different match tonight.
