Quote:After firing Dykes, whose dalliances with Baylor and Houston angered the Bears, athletic director Mike Williams said he wanted a coach who would remain at Cal for the long term.
Quote:He is expected to receive at least $1.5 million annually from the Bears and will likely be the lowest-paid coach in the Pac-12.
Quote:The news was first reported by FoxSports.coms Bruce Feldman, who broke the story about Cal firing Sonny Dykes last weekend.

However, I would argue the dynamic was different. Michigan, in their heart, always loved JH. They said negative things because they felt rejected. JH never actually damaged Michigan. Criticized, yes, damaged no. Lupoi actually stole players he had recruited to Cal when he went to Washington. It wasn't just that he left. He did real, material, and actual damage to Cal. I would think that is a lot harder to forgive. It is still just a rumor, AFAK.
