Barack Obama picks Stanford Women to advance to the Elite Eight and lose to Votre Dame:

Ouch, based on his accuracy last year, the chance of us getting to the Elite Eight is slim.  But maybe this year he has realized he'd do better by going with seeding.  (Hopefully next year no one will cover his predictions.)

Oregon State nearly crashed out to Long Beach State today, but averted a disaster, winning 56-55. That would have been bad news for the Pac-12 with the defending regular season conference champions and conference tournament finalists being ousted by a #15 seed.

Even so, between Oregon State's and Stanford's 1st round performances, we all should be wondering whether this is mental or self-deception?  I think it is mental, not really being ready for a "lowly" 15.
