It was Simmons, not Sisler. Sisler was out of the game by 1930, first all star game was 1933, and Sisler ended up in the National league anyway.

Lefty Gomez never received more than 46% of the vote, and was ultimately voted in by the veterans' committee in 1972. Lefty went to Richmond HS in SF Richmond, incidentally.
Lou Gehrig was inducted in a special 1939 HoF election. He received write-in votes from 22.6% of the BBWAA members in the inaugural 1936 Hall of Fame vote, then the five year waiting period was instituted.

That would be Richmond HS in the town of Richmond. Lefty played for the Seals while in HS
