As I type this, Stanford alum Nicole Gibbs is up a set in the U.S. Open against top seed and world No. 1 Karolina Pliskova. Gibbs is unseeded and coming off some injuries this year (currently ranked No. 127), so this would be a tremendous upset if it happens.
