Real tough game as usual -- tons of respect for the Utes. You'll have a good rest of the year I think.

Utah certainly can play defense better than Stanford. But against a balanced offense, I doubt they are that good. USC will crush them next week, IMO. Don't see Utah finishing better than 8-4 given they play UW and WSU. In fact, after witnessing the season so far, my guess is Stanford and Utah will both finish 7-5.

Yes, Shasta, it is great having you come by and offer your Utah insight and advice each year. And apologies for those targeting incidents--they seem unlike what we have come to expect from Shaw coached teams. Hope your quarterback is fine and that Huntley recovers soon for you. I'd like nothing better than a rematch in the Pac 12 title game.

They are still the second-best team in the Pac-12 South, I think. We've now played four Pac-12 South teams, and gone 3-1. We've had easy wins against UCLA and ASU, struggled to beat Utah, and were beaten by USC. I don't think Arizona (who Utah already beat) or Colorado (who was beaten by Arizona) are much good this year.

At 4-2 being ranked 25th in the Coaches and 23rd in the AP deserves congratulations. But we are not finished yet. 8)
