ISU beats TCU. Big12 now has no undefeated teams. That and the fact it's the Big12 is good for us.

Not sure how it is good for us. We wouldnt get picked over a 1-loss team from the Big12, even if we go undefeated the rest of the way.

To have two losses a team must first have 1 loss. Also, it's kinda looking like ISU is the best team in the Big 12, which is both hilarious and convenient because they already have two losses.

It's so preposterous for the Big 12 to have a championship game pitting #1 vs. #2. They have a whole freaking regular season, where all teams play each other in a round robin, to decide who is #1. Despite this, they are going to try to claim #1 isn't the champion until they have another game? This is absurd. No reason to play another game to decide the champion.

Well, sure, but we also have to sweep WSU, UW, and and Notre Dame, plus not suffer a letdown against Cal. Against that schedule, 2-2 is achievable, 3-1 is unlikely, and 4-0 would be pretty unbelievable. Im not making any plans.

I mean I would argue the Big12 is crap and a 2-loss Pac 12 champ should be seen as better than a 1-loss Big12 "champ", but clearly I was overruled two years ago. But yes, more upsets in other conferences is what we should be rooting for. (Dammit UNC.)

Well, sure, plus we don't look like a playoff team anyway. But to the extent you hold out hope for us making the playoff, some other conference champion looking worse than us is necessary.

OK, if Utah is no big deal of a win because it's 21 points worse than Oregon, doesn't that make Stanford's stomping of Oregon super impressive? One win or the other must be impressive.

But to address yours, WIM, I think it's obvious Stanford is a totally different team at home vs. on the road this season. But I do believe if Oregon had Herbert, Stanford would have been hard-pressed to beat Oregon.

Agreed with WiM. You just cant apply transitivity in college football as the logic starts to break down real fast. Utah is a team that generally is well coached, excels at stopping the run, and has a tough stadium to play at. They may not be very good this year, largely due to poor QB play, but that is still a good win.
Likewise, the ASU and Oregon wins, largely overlooked as wins against bad teams, are actually looking much better in hindsight. Without an elite team in the pac 12 left, likely partially due to big injury impacts to UW and USC combined with last years talent drain from UW to the NFL, we are left with a lot of average to good teams. Most of whom can beat any other team on a given night. Ill take any wins we can get and be happy.

We want Arizona to win. At this point goal 1, 2, and 3, is to win the pac 12 north, get to the championship game, and have a shot to win the conference. To that end, any loss by UW or WSU increases the odds that we can stumble once and still make it.
