And frankly, this puts the Colts in a better position for 2018 anyway, too.  You lose most of the rest of your games, potentially get a Top 5 pick, the rebuild chugs along, and you get to start next season fresh with a fully healed Luck and a brand new coach. 

As an Andrew Luck fan, this is probably the ideal outcome (at this point in the season, of course).  If I were an actual Colts fan, I would be bummed that this year is now officially lost, but it was sure looking that way anyway.

I would agree with this if we were talking about almost any other organization. Sadly, nothing the Colts have done since drafting Andrew indicates that they are remotely interested in building a team or protecting their franchise quarterback.

Seems like he played through the shoulder injury for months, while getting sacked 35 times in 10 games.  I know he has an incredible work ethic, but where were the team's medical people on this?
