My $0.02 - Stanford and U.SC should band together to pressure N.D to move their California game to September, week 2 or 3.  Stanford and U.SC would still likely play a conference opponent on Thanksgiving weekend the week after the rivalry game.  But it would avoid the common situation where the N.D game is both significant (for national rankings and playoffs) and meaningless (for the conference standings) at the same time.

I think it would require the PAC-12 to dictate that member schools cannot schedule OOC games after week 10 or something like that.  USC/Stanford’s yearly thanksgiving Notre Dame matchup really does screw the conference over and makes scheduling much more difficult.

Truth be told, it’s time for Notre Dame to just join the friggin ACC or (BigTen).  They are not special and they should quit acting like they are.  One of the best parts of beating their butt is that we probably denied them a NY6 bowl game.  I love the game because I love putting those smug sons of b****es in their place.

To be fair to those fans, there were many points in the game that they were louder than our fans.

And I know some decent Notre Dame fans (including one who visited this board).  But the fan base exudes a sense of entitlement, so happy when it backfires.

I'm in favor of conference schedule that requires all OOC games AND bye weeks completed by the end of October. Last 4 games should be all in conference and no byes.
