<salty> I'm surprised if any 5-star WR with early NFL aspirations would want to sign with Stanford right now given the lack of WR showcase in the offense and QB troubles. </salty>

1. He wanted to play with his HS QB, whom he knows will get him the ball. For those who can remember back to the 70's, think Pat Haden and JK McKay.
2, He wants to get to the NFL as soon as possible. This is more important to him than the "40 year decision".
3. His personality is more suited to U$C. Anyone catch his on the field antics during the Army AA game, which drew him an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty?
Unfortunately for us, the guy can play. Not looking forward to having to face him for three years.

Its not a good look to disparage guys who we offered and who chose to go elsewhere. Good luck to Amon-Ra. Unfortunately, I think he is the mos talented of the three and could have helped us.
But, as they say, its not about the guys who you dont land; its about what the guys who you do wind up doing.

You also have to figure that hes a 17 year old with 2 prominent older brothers. Some want to follow in their brothers footsteps. Others will want to make their own path. Both are totally normal.
