Does four weeks seem reasonable for a broken bone in his arm? I assume if he does return after the bye, he would be wearing a cast of some sort...

My son broke his forearm playing soccer, and he was in a cast for less than 4 weeks. After that, he was cleared for all activities. Of course, he was only 6 at the time and wasn't going to be playing any football. As I recall, surgery is sometimes required based on the degree of displacement (but was not required in my son's case).
There are physicians on this board that can answer this question more accurately than I can.

Correct. Which means that both Robinson and Wedington (and Sarell, though that is less likely for two reasons) could redshirt this year if they are out for most of the season. Curtis could play in the last four games of the season, and Connor three, and still redshirt, if they and the coaches so chose.

Why would you say that? I actually marked Fox as starting before they even made the announcement that he would be. If Jordan Fox has been playing well enough to start ahead of Gabe Reid (which he has), then why not go with that? In other words, why root for Reid to "step up" and not for Fox? I have yet to see Reid display any "game wrecking" ability at the college level. If he did, or if Fox did, I'd be thrilled, of course.

If it's a game wrecker you want. Fox looks to be the better guy. Reid looks like a speed rush specialist, a nickel guy,

Reid seems to have the most upside from my vantage point. Who knows if he can put it all together to be "that" guy, but I always want the coaches to have difficulty deciding who should play because all the options are so good. If Fox is so good nobody else can get many meaningful snaps, that would be great too.
