Pretty impressive for Justin Herbert. And yes, Benn Burr-Kirven made this team too!
Doesn't surprise me. BBK had a very strong academic record and was offered by Northwestern, Harvard and Princeton.

I just read in a tweet where Burr-Kirven yesterday found the cure for cancer, built a perpetual motion machine, and got all parties in the Middle East to sign a peace treaty. Also, it appears that all other members of the UW football team have decided to skip the Rose Bowl in order to prepare for the NFL draft, so it was announced that Burr-Kirven will be playing all 22 positions [as well as handling the punting and place-kicking]. After the announcement, betting moved strongly in favor of UW.
Boy, did Shaw screw up in not getting that guy...
He didn't do any of those things. But he did finish first team All America AP.

He was also Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the year. Fourth in the country in solo tackles. Scout.com had ranked him the #43 Mike linebacker prospect in the country his senior year, #55 by ESPN. Did a 6.75 on the three cone drill, fifth on the UW team. MaxPreps All NorCal play of the year, DIII California player of the year. And oh yeah, he's very, very fast. Dante Pettis was 0.2 mph faster than him:

You're right. We should have had him.
