Forbes' is out with its latest survey of best colleges which "focuses on educational outcomes..." Stanford is 5 (Harvard is 6, Yale 14, UND 18, Duke 22). No other Pac-12 school is ranked in the top 50. Including UC-East Bay (a further sign of their diminished reputation). Top ten below:
1.  Williams
2.  Princeton
3. West Point
4. Amherst
5, Stanford
6. Harvard
7. Haverford
8. U/Chicago
9. MIT
10. Air Force
Obviously a comparison of many fruits (not just apples and oranges).
They also look at MBA programs based on the return on investment (loss of income and tuition and other factors). Stanford GSB shows pre-MBA salary of $77,000 and post as $215,000
