And I’m not kidding. To me, this one is all about Mills. Second start. Should show significant improvement. Especially against a weaker D. This is a great opportunity for him to show why he was so heavily regarded. If he shines, it bodes well for the future. If he struggles the warning sign is up.
I’d call some quick easy throws first. Maybe a quick bubble screen to Wedington. Something short middle to Parkinson. (Sure be nice to see him actually use his size) Get his feet wet. Ball out of hands fast. You don’t want him hit early. Gain confidence. Then get Wilson, Fehoko and St.Brown involved - using the friggin middle of the field. Drag routes, crossing routes. An occasional deep post for St.Brown with the other wideouts running underneath. And use the backs on screens and as outlet receivers.
Get him going on high percentage throws then start going downfield. He has a bigger arm than. Costello. Use it.
Also let’s see more Jones. Why not have both Jones and Scarlett on the field. Go back to ‘14. Late in that season they used McCaffrey and Wright as split backs in a pistol. It was highly effective. Use it again. Jones is the back of the future. Scarlett has been their best offensive player. Put them out together.
This could be Mills coming out party. It adds some excitement.
