The touchdown pass from Fingall to Belibi was great! And Lexie is heating up with 2 steals and 13 points. Tara IS using Wilson to relieve Williams a lot.

Helps when your opponent only has four defensive rebounds (though many of those turnovers happened after an offensive rebound so they were functionally like giving up a defensive board). Also, the Bruins shot 29%.
But for the turnovers, we’d be winning by a wide margin.

We know from past experience that we probably can't sustain this defense through 4 quarters. UCLA erupted in the 4th quarter last time. We need to get our offense in gear in the 3rd, and cut those turnovers out. Easier said than done.
At least it does not appear that Williams has been run down. We really, really need to get her going in the 2nd half. And we need to get something going in the paint. Only 14 points in the paint so far.

Well that is a great start to the 3rd quarter, only 5 minutes in and Williams has scored her first 9 points of the game. We need to sustain this and build the lead to prepare for the UCLA 4th quarter.
At 15 we have scored more points halfway through the 3rd than we scored in either of the first two quarters. That is good enough for a 12 point lead.

Is it just me or does it look like the Bruins have lost their spark? They are not playing as hard as they did in the first half. We are out hustling them now.

Well, that was exactly the 3rd quarter we wanted in oh so many ways. We lead 50-31, Williams went from 0 to 12 points, and our defense did not let up. Onyenwere is stuck at 10 points on an inefficient 4-14. And our post game is finally coming alive with Belibi sinking a few inside.
Now, can our team play well enough in the 4th quarter to put this away, and silence the Cardboardian hyper critics? We will see.....
