Well if no football then Stanford and schools drop more sports. Is that the game plan here ?

I think I’m going to haul the 50’s Tru Action game out of the closet and play a make believe all time NC. 1951 undefeated and untied and uninvited USF (Matson, St. Claire, Marchetti, Toler) vs 1924 Notre Dame (Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse). Each play takes about three minutes and there is little control of the electro magnetic game board. Will result in many safeties. I will add a home field advantage (Kezar) to make sure the Domers are crushed. It’s all the football I need this year.

USC, for example, in April projected this year had a $300-$500 million deficit, and very little of its ~$7 billion endowment could be used.
One can only guess that any new misses related to projected revenue would only add to the deficit and the need to cut sports, staff, academic departments, or more.
The football commissioners mention an assumption that cases hopefully will get better between now and mid-September. Seems like a curious assumption, but that's the hope that appears to justify the optimism and planning.
The conferences' dedication to their contracts with Disney and ViacomCBS is rather impressive. Hope it makes sense because it is only a matter of time until a college athlete, coach or trainer dies from COVID.
