The throw on the last snap was just as bad:  a half-second late, and flat footed, and not thrown to the outside.  Make that (relatively routine) pass, and the 'Niners could have won that game.  But in truth, if Shanahan had not gifted AZ the three points before halftime, the 'Niners could have won with a chippie FG at end of regulation.
