Sounds like he's going 31 to Dallas, which is a nice fit for him. Bill Simmons and many Ringer guys love him, it'll be fun to see him with Luka.

As a MFFL (Mavs fan for life), I love this. Rick Carlisle has a long history of not playing rookies much in his complicated offenses, so don't expect to see a lot of Terry this year. But I think his shooting will get him some playing time.

Obviously it doesn't work this way, but getting 19 year old 7-1, freakishly athletic Wiseman and losing soon to be 31 year old 6-6 Klay Thompson, is a trade you make everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
The Warriors now have a player on which to build the franchise around after Curry and Thompson. It's a little like having Steve Young to take over after Joe Montana, or Aaron Rodgers to replace Brett Favre.

This showed he can become a 250-280 lb. physical force in addition to an athletic one, and that he is a determined hard worker. Building around a center is not today’s NBA. game. Period. He’s athletic. High ceiling. No question. He’s also raw. But the game is built around PG’s and wings.
There is no freaking way I’d trade Thompson perhaps having a career ending injury (Achilles plus ACL is not a good combo) for potential.

Wiseman is so compelling because he is much more than a Center, or what people think of a Center being. Moreover, who isn't "raw" at 19 years old? If Wiseman has a combination of foot quickness and length to defend perimeter wings - which he appears to have based on what I have observed - he can be a dominant defender in a switching defense, and be a great interior shot blocker. He knows how to set screens, a lob dunking machine, and he will be the fastest 7-footer in the NBA, making him lethal in transition. Those are all the things he gives you if he never develops outside shooting ability or a consistent offensive game. We're looking at a 7-1 player who you could conceivably see dribble up the floor, stop and drain a 3-pt shot on one possession, then fake a shot, cross over a defender and drive for a dunk and 1 on the next. How many 7-footers has anyone here seen do that? There is video of him crossing over and driving for a layup in the Jordan Brand Classic and he's better now.
IOW, if Wiseman projected to be what most people think of an NBA Center being, then yes, that isn't the modern NBA. I'm suggesting Wiseman has upside to potentially re-define what the NBA Center position is, and we have no idea what that means for championship contention because we have never seen it before.

Warriors, Niners, Stanford all belonging to the Many Injured Club. I think Stanford has set a record for most ILB's on the injured list.
